Dearest friends and family,
We are getting married!!! In Mexico!!! We are dreaming of several days of togetherness, friendship, and delicious food & drinks on the beach. It would be an honor to celebrate with the people we love most.

We are staying at The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences, a family-friendly, all-inclusive resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, located just 40-min south of Cancun International Airport (CUN). The wedding will be on-site.

- 5:00 PM Ceremony at the Beachfront Gazebo

- Rest of your stay: Free play. Eat, drink, lounge, go on excursions!

Important Dates
- TODAY: CHECK YOUR PASSPORT!
- Apply for a passport or check if your current passport is valid!
- Some airlines require 6 months validity past your travel dates.
- Your plane ticket must match the name on your passport EXACTLY.
- MAY 31: Deadline to RSVP and put down deposit for hotel booking
- ***You can still book past this date just let us know for our reception planning head count!
- AUGUST 15: Reach out to Jess & Jayme for your final payment link. Also, let them know your flight information so they can book your transfers! (shuttle between hotel & airport)
- AUGUST 29 (T-60 days): Full payment due for hotel booking
- OCTOBER 28 Wedding Day!

Kindly RSVP by emailing Jess & Jayme at groups@hereandawaytravel.com with a completed Room Reservation Form request by May 31, 2022. (We attached the form in the Save-the-Date email; they can also provide it for you). Room rates are posted below. We know this is a big ask and we absolutely understand if you are unable to attend! Please let us know either way so we could plan accordingly.

Travel
We (Cam & Em) are traveling 10/25-10/30 (5 nights). Feel free to book travel dates that work best for you!
We are holding a room block at the Fives Beach Hotel for our group! To book your reservations, please email our Travel Agents Jess & Jayme at groups@hereandawaytravel.com with a completed Room Reservation Form. They will give you a quote and provide you with a payment link. Minimum stay at the hotel is 3 nights. You will just have to put down a deposit by May 31, 2022 (minimum deposit of one night's stay) and you can make interest-free payments however you'd like up until the final payment due date of August 29, 2022 (60 days before the wedding).
Let Jess & Jayme know if you’d like for them to book your flight as well. (You can book flights on your own, if you prefer; we know some people use travel points or whatnot) Just let them know your flight details once booked because they will be coordinating the airport transfers for our group (transportation between airport and hotel).
COVID Travel Updates:
Going to Mexico: Mexico currently does not require any vaccination for COVID-19, or a negative test to enter the country.
Masks may still be required in some areas!
As of 6/12/22, COVID testing is no longer required coming back to the US. International Travel | CDC
The Fives Hotel has on-site COVID testing (antigen test) for $35 per person.

Room, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, room snacks), beverages (alcoholic & non-alcoholic), resort activities.
- What’s NOT included in the all-inclusive package?
Room service fee $3.50 per order (all food is included, just pay for service fee)
Coffee Shop (but don’t worry— coffee, cappuccinos, lattes etc are available at the restaurants)
Smoothie Bar (smoothies are included, but protein powders are extra)
Bali beds are available for rent per day (beach loungers are available first come first serve)
- What’s the weather like in October?
Average highs 85F, lows 78F, tail end of rainy season
- Will I have cellphone service?
Typically you would just put your phone on Airplane Mode and use Hotel wifi to avoid international charges; use Facebook Messenger/WhatsApp/iMessagefor messaging each other; Check your phone plan for International Roaming.
We will post on the website Message Board for updates while we are at the resort! (Which pool are we hanging out? What’s an awesome restaurant to check out? etc) If you go on our website using your cellphone, you can “Add to Home Screen” to create a shortcut on your phone for easy access that week :)
- Do I tip the staff?
Tips are not techincally required, but are generally very much appreciated by the staff. It may come in handy to have some $1s and $5s on you if you would like to be remembered by someone you plan to see often i.e. the bartenders
- Miscellaneous Hotel Stuff
· Bring the credit card you used for booking your hotel room.
· The hotel has lots of beautiful nature landscapes all around, including monkeys and coatis. LOCK YOUR BALCONY DOORS as monkeys have been known to open doors and look for food!
· The resort is big and we will be walking a lot. I think they have golf carts that shuttle people around but you may have to request it and wait.
- Wedding Attire:
· Wear what’s comfortable! "Beach semi-formal", perhaps? Nice shorts and pants are cool, collared shirts (short or long-sleeve), suit jacket if you’re feeling fancy but truly not necessary. Probably anything besides a t-shirt, jeans, or swimsuit would be fine. :)
· If you’re thinking of what shoes to wear, the ceremony will be at beachfront gazebo on a concrete pad, and reception will be on the beach (in the sand!)
- Arriving before Check-in Time:
If you are arriving early before check-in time (3 PM), you’ll still be able to use the amenities at the resort while you wait so pack a swimsuit on your carry-on!
